TheSimpson family, Glasgow:
What a wonderful fortnight - not a drop of rain and hot and sunny every
day! Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this area - there is so
much to see and do. Highlights were visits to Tresco, Heligan and an
evening performance at The Minack Theatre. Great choice of local
produce at Richards Farm Shop, great food at Trevascus Farm - both are
must visits. Finally many thanks to Janet and Matt (standing in for
Jean+ Stuart who were on holiday) for the warm welcome, visits to the hens
and help in the power cut! The barn is a real haven - so quiet and
comfortable, looking forward to meeting Jean & Stuart on another visit!
The Sheridan & Mathew Family S
Wales: Very cosy and comfy, everything we needed here! We
liked the games room a lot and hope to see you next year. The area
was very nice and pretty - and thanks for the eggs.

The Reeve family Derbyshire:
Fantastic time, would recomend Flambards, Paradise Park and Eden Project,
all good especially out of season as kids went on lots of things without
queuing. Two good restaurants - The watermill 757912 very large
portions and lovely fresh food. Pizza Patio - great pizza's and very
large fresh pasta dishes. Carbis Bay is a lovely beach with parking
close by. St Ives is good and parking best early in the morning or
late evening. Weather was good and with the games room there was
always things to do. Thankyou for a lovely holiday.

Jean + Stuart always very helpful, accommodation comfortable and clean.
Thanks again x.
The Holland family, Oxfordshire:
A sunny week, so we went to the beach at Godrevy via the National Trust
Car Park. Local food - especially some fruit and meat - is available at
Trevaskus Farm Shop. There is a gentle walk along the river at
St Erth when you tire of the coast. In Hayle the sub-tropical
gardens are an impressive surprise and do not miss the yummy ice cream at
Mr B's! We all enjoyed the arcade games and one of us, aged 10
- representing England - won the final of the World Cup beating Italy 1-0!
The Meadows Family, Warwick:
A great place to stay! Accommodation excellent + especially good for
young families, children extremely pleased with games room and garden and
I really appreciated the washing machine + tumble dryer - very sad!
A brilliant base for everywhere and definitely worth a return visit soon.
Thanks to you both - Its been lovely.
The Shearer family, Midlothian,

driving distance, particularly appreciated by the driver! We really
enjoyed Goonhilly and the Eden Project. We would recommend Pizza
Patio in Hayle for their pizza and Kota in Porthleven for a treat.
The shopping was good everywhere, we wish there was a sea salt (shop) in
Scotland!
Swindon Town Ladies & Swindon
Spitfires Laura, Sarah, April, Kelly, Becky & Cara: We have
really enjoyed our stay in Killarney. We have done loads of
interesting cool stuff but I'd say miniature world stood out as the best
value for money. We also visited Newquay Zoo which would be great
for kids but turned out to be a bit of a let down for us. St Ives is
brilliant and not far down the road. Jeepers Karting was overpriced
but okay. Newquay Town was lovely but the best fish & chips were
from Falmouth.
Another great stay for the second
year running, thanks for adding the dart board (sorry about the wall!) ps
make the TV easier to turn on!
Qumula Family - Midlands: To
our first British holiday - and it will not be the last. We have
been warmly welcomed and our time here has been great, despite the English
weather! It will get our high recommendation to friends and we look
forward to coming again. The location is excellent, it means we
could explore the delights of Cornwall without too much travel. The
facilities and hosts have been excellent!
Jack, Anne, Jacky, Kevin, Baby
Harrison, Cara, Lee, Olivia, Jack & Baby Alfie: Yorkshire & Essex (Killeen

was lovely to find two apartments together in such a lovely setting.

back if we can get everyone together at the same time again - thankyou.

room & gardens well used - just missing the sun!!!
Graham, Judith, Brendan & Hannah
Greaves - Lancs: Thank you for a wonderful time. The apartment
is wonderful (as is the games room. It is situated so you can access
popular places to visit easily. Country skittles is enjoyable &
reasonably priced and has games for the whole family. St Ives is
great for a visit - The Barbara Hepworth Gallery is enjoyable, wonderful
beaches and seaside shops there also. Penzance is a great seaside
place too, lots to do there. Plenty of National Trusts to see (near
by) which are enjoyable. Its been a pleasure staying - the family
are wonderful and we hope to come again!
Chris, Suz, Reece, Ryan & Keira -
Luton: What can we say? Great accommodation, great facilities -
excellent. The kids loved the arcade & the garden games, it was hard
to drag them away at times. Stuart & Jean you were great, full of info on
what to do, swimming in Falmouth was excellent, Paradise Park & The
jungle barn wore them out and it was just down the road. The ability
to borrow the boards when we went to Newquay beach was great. The
DVD library kept the kids going in the evenings. Overall it was fab,
the kids already want to come back. I have to say it will be very
hard to beat this. Will definitely come back again - thanks for a
great week! Suz, Chris, Reece, Ryan & Kierra xx.

attractive, warm - what more can we say? Can't wait to come back.

the old barn. Ideally located near our favourite beach for surfing
at Gwithian. Lots for the children to do at Killanoon when it's wet
(which it was a lot!) Thanks for a great time, we will be back! PS. Loved the Plasma
TV!

for exploring Cornwall. Thank you Jean & Stuart for making us welcome
- the flowers, eggs & milk were a nice thought..

location, very homely everything you could want or even borrow, Body
boards,

place to shop, Paradise Park good day out, 5 mins away. St Ives a
must, the area has it all depending on your taste from surfing to the Tate

badminton court! Thanks for the warm welcome, the fresh eggs were great!!
Hopefully we will see you again next year. Take care. (Already
booked) Thomas: It is
an amazing place to stay!!! I would love to come again, thanks. Ken:
We have enjoyed our first visit very much, & the accommodation & its
facilities have proved very useful. With "great weather" allowing
us to explore the local beaches our week could not have been better. ps "To
Stuart" Facilities could be improved with a Gym, Sauna, Jacuzzi &
floodlit Soccer/Tennis/Badmington courts. A Squash court would be
nice (only joking)
The Carroll family - Somerset:: After a slightly shaky start to the holiday at St Ives Tesco (we
recommend Morrisons on the way to Penzance) we have had a lovely break.
The weather had been very up & down, but having such a super base had made
the holiday a real pleasure. The accommodation has everything you
could need & more & it is a very comfortable space. The facilities
are excellent especially the games room. Stuart & Jean gave us a
very warm welcome & enabled us to have a very relaxed holiday. We
would highly recommend the Lamb & Flag Inn on the way from Hayle to
Penzance, the food is fab they serve it all day & they make families very
welcome.
The Toulson family - Sheffield: We've really enjoyed our holiday at Killarney. Our share of the
barn was lovely & clean. Ben & Sara thought the games room was great
especially the pool table. If we'd been here more (not always off to
the beach!) they would have also used the badminton & table tennis more.
On our rainy days the games & DVDs were great. Thank you for your
warm welcome, also advice, we enjoyed Praa sands & the Balti King in Hayle
especially beaches at Gwithian & Porthtowan were great for body
boarding &
surfing. Sara Toulson: The place
has been great, one of the best I have ever stayed in, It was excellent
facilities & I really enjoyed playing pool in the evenings. We have been
to lots of your recommendations for eating & they have been wonderful, I
would really recommend you try it at Sennen, Gwithian or Porthtowan.
It has been excellent staying & I am sad to leave. The Puppies were
so cute!
Mandi & Zoe - Huddersfield - West
Yorkshire: Loved the accommodation, especially the fire, I think you've
created a pyromaniac. Games room was great, thanks. Careful
eating pasties at St Ives, we were mugged by a seagull! Cyder farm
was great but allow time to sober up before driving & if your taking the
helicopter to the Scilly Isles book in advance! Thanks Jean & Stu

visit - Porthmeor Beach cafe, St Ives and The Bean Inn (veggie) Both
excellent. Avoid Cornish Arms, very disappointing, (Stuart says -

Stuart & Jean made us feel very welcome and the dogs/puppies/kittens/birds
were all lovely! We (particularly Dan!) loved the games room & field
and its in a good location, rural & quiet but only 5 minutes from
civilisation & the beaches! If you get a chance to go down to the
Maize Maze we recommend it. The weather was perfect the only thing
was having to leave :o(

dart board & stereo
(Now in place)
Had a fab stay will come again and
try not to singe the oven gloves! (sorry!)
Follen family - Heidelberg,
Germany: Had a wonderful 2 weeks and are very sad to leave! The
apartment is beautifully furnished and really well equipped - maybe the
best equipped self catering place we have stayed in. We'd recommend -
if you like walking - walking from Porthcurno to Sennen Cove, round about
Botallack, Frenchmans Creek/ Helford river, or Heligan Gardens, or a trip
to The Lizard & a sunbathe at Kynance Cove... the list is endless and we
will definitely be back to do the rest! Thanks for everything and
all the best.
Baillie family - Ipswich: Jean
& Stuart many thanks for your hospitality, you live in a truly beautiful
part of the country & your accommodation is by far the best we have stayed
in. The kids loved the games room + garden and so did the adults!
Visited Poldark mine (so,so), Helford (picturesque), Flambards (fun day
out), St Ives (busy, but still the most beautiful town in England).
The beaches at Sennen Cove and Porthcurno were fantastic, Praa Sands
nearby is also very good.
Vicky & Esmond - South Wales:
We love the converted barn, the decor fantastic, kitchen etc & what a
wonderful base for exploring Cornwall, although our stay was cut short by
ill health, we did get to see - St Ives - wonderful, St
Micheals Mount - coated in an eerie mist, The Gardens of Trevarno -
stunning. We recommend the White Hart Hotel in Hayle - an old Hotel
but wonderful food & just down the road. We hope to return one day.
Thanks for the eggs too!
Liz, Howard & Owen - Cardiff:
Lovely accommodation & really enjoyed the space around it. Great to
have the garden, and games room a bonus. Good location for
exploring this end of Cornwall - very welcoming & always on hand for
anything we needed. Thank you.
The Clegg family - Norfolk: We
have stayed in many different cottages around the country and I can
honestly say these are undoubtedly the best. For the facilities
alone, Killanoon is the ideal place for a family base. Thank you to
Stuart & Jean for making us feel welcome and for everything you have
provided us with. I don't really think you left anything out..
When we visit again we will definitely be staying at Killanoon. As
for places to visit we would recommend St Ives - not only does it have
great beaches but it also has a quaint picturesque town. Also Newquay is pretty good - try 'Lusty Glaze' beach for a nice family friendly
area. All in all a great holiday which was complimented by these
cottages. PS. 2 things that would make these cottages better would
be a dish washer and a hot tub!! Ha ha!.
(Stuart says - we have only just got the hang
of this newfangled electric down here in Cornwall - what's a
'dishwasher & hot tub' then?).
The Shearer family - Midlothian,
Scotland: A beautiful apartment and a very warm welcome. Thanks
for making our holiday so special! All the extras you've provided
make this type of holiday so much easier. We will highly recommend
your cottages to friends and family and we look forward to a return in the
not too distant future. (Aready booked)

modern apartment * Excellent facilities, including TV's games room &
Kitchen * nice garden * well priced.
Cage family - Ipswich: On
arrival after a 'very' long journey, we found the apartment to be very
cosy. We visited many places, Tintagel Castle and Bocastle where the
Cornish pasties were the best! We also went to Lands End and the
sights were very nice, but don't pay for the extra attractions as not
worth it! Poldark mine was good, where you can also pick up leaflets
to gain money off for Flambards which was also good. We visited St
Ives, Penzance Helston, Gweek, St Micheals Mount which were all very nice.
We also got to the beach at Hayle which was lovely. Jean + Stuart
were very friendly and made us feel at home - thank you.

thanks to Jean + Stuart for a lovely stay. The accommodation cannot
be faulted, surrounding countryside and St Ives very pleasant. Very
impressed with the apartment - the best self catering accommodation we
have stayed in so far. Excellent games room. Our son is only
one and a half years old but we intend to come back when he's a bit older.
The weather wasn't wonderful, overcast and a slight drizzle latter part of
the holiday, but we still had a fantastic time + found the location ideal
