Hayle Towans – 3 Miles of Golden Sands
A long stretch of beach and dunes adjoining the nearby town of Hayle and the Hayle River Estuary. A few minutes drive from Killanoon – you can see The Towans from the fields around the apartments.

Porthkidney Sands – Beautiful and Unspoiled
This beach is a bit of a local secret – it can be found between Carbis Bay and the Hayle estuary. The western part of the beach is a long strand of sand beneath the cliffs. Further along this opens out with dunes behind the main beach. At the far end you reach the river, there is a footpath across the golf course which leads to Lelant church.

Carbis Bay – Great Family Beach
Another sandy beach with great views over St Ives Bay. This tends to be a bit quieter than the St Ives beaches in high season and has a large car park behind. Useful if you have young kids and need to cart around all the associated equipment such as buggies and changing mats. There is also a cafe and snack bar.

St Ives – Four Wonderful Sandy Beaches
Nearby St Ives has four great beaches – each with its own character. Porthminster is a large Mediterranean style beach. Harbour beach is small and central to town. Porthgwidden is sheltered and ideal for families. Porthmeor is a world class surfing beach and home to Tate St Ives.
