The Smugglers. This is our nearest pub, and a very good one it is too. Geared for the family, they concentrate on good food and have also been home to the ’51 Jazz Club’ for the last 35 years. They practise here every Sunday lunchtime, so book your table early – its a good day! Good quiz night on a Sunday also, and not too hard because even we won once! Very friendly and welcoming.
The Bird In Hand. Very nice place, loads of outside seating, good for young and old – not too loud. Good food & also is at the entrance to Paradise Park.
The White Hart Hotel. Good hotel fayre, nice bar room collectables around the walls.
The Foundry Bar. Nice bar, good food, have lots of bands, Samba, Jazz, usually something a bit different.. All age groups.
The Cornish Arms. Nice pub, traditional games – darts, Euchre, seperate pool room. Traditional ales, pub food.
These are the nearest pubs, it is quite inexpensive to get a taxi into St. Ives, Carbis Bay or Penzance for more pubs & night clubs etc. Cornubia. Another traditional type pub, large premises, 2 main rooms, large TV’s etc. Good old style family pub with professional type karaoke nights.
The Copperhouse. The new millenium has caught up with this place, a modern, large, loud bar which fulfills its purpose very well, which is to cater for the under 25′s ish.
The Bucket Of Blood. This traditional pub, which was named after a popular children’s fairytale, is a real English country pub, low ceilings, old beams, good pub food, and a pub sign not for the faint hearted! You can sit back and imagine the locals being there 300 years before you. Well worth a visit.
The Salt Bar. Wine bar type, modern, popular, arty, loads of mirrors for the very vain.
Red River Inn (Gwithian). Youthful pub with a good community buzz – Good food also.
The Royal Standard. Traditional type of pub – duke box, pool table, dart board etc. Good atmosphere.
